Summer parties beckon for a sipper that not only is tasty but must perform the double task of bringing a break from the heat. Most of America found this mythical drink when frosé became the drink of choice last Summer. However, the SoCal restaurant, Malibu Farm was ahead of the curb with their delicious frozen version. Our frosé is inspired by Malibu Farm’s signature cocktail. It is a delicious mix of rose wine, vodka, and citrus juice perfect for hot summer day. While not the exact recipe, we think ours is pretty darn close and equally tasty! However, you just may need to book a trip down to Malibu to experience the real deal!
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FROSÉ
Ingredients
1 750-mL bottle Californian rosé, chilled
1 c. fresh or frozen strawberries
1/4 c. vodka
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
ice
Directions
- Combine half a bottle of rosé, 1 cup strawberries, half the vodka and half the lemon juice in a blender.
- Add about 2 cups of ice and blend until slushy. If consistency is too watery, add extra ice and blend again.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve immediately.
